The talent of the different Mazatlan theater companies will arrive at the Local Theater Show, to be held from April 25th to 30th at Casa Haas; The week dedicated to the performing arts is convened by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán through Spring Season 2023.

It will be with “Entre pavos y guajolotes” this Tuesday, April 25th at 7:00 p.m. when the emotions begin, the play will be performed by the El Capiro Teatro company, directed by Ernesto Trejo.

“Entre pavos y guajolotes” is a tragicomedy that addresses from an ironic, handsome and festive point of view, the adventures, joys and troubles of El Pavo, an important character in the fishing activity of Mazatlan.

Felícitos Cocinas Pavón, the name of the central character in the play, is played by the leading actor from Mazatlan, Alfredo Vergara. This character was once a “pavo” on a shrimp , meaning a gopher, and is now dedicated to giving “master” lectures.

In this week dedicated to acting, the performances will be at 7 pm at Casa Haas, except for the one on Sunday, April 30th, which will be at 5 pm. The companies will participate are: Colectivo Los Pata Salada, Compañía Sin Conexión, El Capiro Teatro, Compañía Río a Trote, Compañía Intro-Outro Laboratorio Teatral and Lunáticos Teatro.

On Wednesday, April 26th, the Intro-Outro Laboratorio Teatral Company directed by Manuel Ruiz will present “Los Camaleones”, a tribute to Oscar Liera, and on Thursday, April 27th, “Krispy Kreme” premieres by Sin Conexion under the direction of Manolo Díaz.

On Friday, April 28th, the Casa Haas stage will receive the play “Alaska” with the company Lunaticos Teatro and on April 29th, DíazdeTeatro and the Los Pata Salada Collective presents “Hojuelas de tabaco azucarado” by Manolo Díaz. The closing will be with “Río a futuro”, a futuristic show for children who want to change the world presented by the company Río a Trote, on Sunday, April 30th at 5:00 p.m. at Casa Haas.
