This Tuesday, the financial statements of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán corresponding to the month of December 2022 were unanimously approved.
The seventh ordinary meeting of the Administration Council of the paramunicipal was chaired by the Secretary of the Mazatlán City Council, Verenice Oleta Benítez, representing the Municipal President and president of the Council, Edgar González Zatarain.
At the meeting, the General Director of Cultura, Raúl Rico González, submitted to the consideration of the councilors the analysis, authorization and, where appropriate, the budget increase corresponding to the month of March, a point approved unanimously.
The meeting also unanimously approved the financial statements for the month of March.
At the meeting, Rico González said that the paramunicipal is already paying the liabilities of the previous administration.
“The idea is that hopefully we can cover the liability generated by the previous administration by at least two thirds between now and December,” said the official.
Rico González reported that CULTURA events are being carried out with their own resources.
The commitment is to be able to carry out the Cultural Festival, the Day of Music and Escena Mazatlan without requesting an additional budget, he commented.
