Laughter was the common denominator among the public at Casa Haas during the staging of the play “Hojuelas de tabaco azucarado”

The Los Pata Salada Collective provided moments of fun and reflection on the penultimate day of activities of the Local Theater Show.

The play was written and directed by the talented Manolo Díaz from Mazatlan, who acted on stage alongside actress Dulce Guzmán; the musicalization was created by Abraham Medina.

Ariel Guzmán Guzmán in his stellar role narrates what it is like to grow up in the dangerous neighborhoods of Mexico City, and how to live his adventures he joins “La Galleta”, a girl who cannot go to school and earns a living with her family selling cookies.

United little by little they forge a great friendship that unites them and they hope to leave the neighborhood and leave behind the chaotic violence that prevails in marginalized places and escape from that dark devouring world.

The performance of “Galleta” and Ariel and the entire group was recognized by the public who gave them generous applause at the end of the play supported by the Program for the Encouragement of Artistic Creation and Development, Young Creators in the year 2018.

Promoted by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, the Local Theater Show became a great local showcase for the projection of young dramaturgy and acting values.
