This Saturday at 6:00 pm the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán invites you to enjoy the Thai drama “How to become a millionaire before grandma dies”, which will be screened at the “Marco Antonio Lugo” Cinema of the Municipal Center for the Arts. Admission is free, limited capacity.
The story follows ‘M’, a young man who leaves his life as a streamer to take care of his sick grandmother, but not out of pure love, but with the hope of inheriting her money. What begins as a cynical plan, becomes an emotional journey, a journey of redemption and genuine connection where it is impossible not to feel identified with the family dilemmas it presents.
The film has been a phenomenon in Asia and it’s not hard to understand why: it plays with comedy and drama in a masterful way.
It’s a story about family, greed and the ephemeral nature of the time we spend with our loved ones.
The film is shown in its original language, English with Spanish subtitles. The CMA Cinematograph is located next to the Angela Peralta Theater.
