During halftime of the match corresponding to the fifth date of the MX League between Mazatlán vs. León, the El Encanto Stadium field became a stage of color and joy with the presence of those who have been queens and kings of the Mazatlán International Carnaval and the Folkloric Ballet of Culture.

The soccer fans of the port were excited when the Sinaloa music sounded in the stadium, marking the beginning of a show made up of the Folkloric Ballet of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte directed by Maestro Javier Arcadia, and the Comparsa Astros, directed by Maestro Pablo Navarrete.

The ballet danced to a remix of Aires de Sinaloa, samba songs and the popular Pato Asado, while the swaying of the dancers’ skirts and hats made the audience excited and activated Mazatlan pride.

The sky lit up with fireworks, and so the queens and kings of the Mazatlan International Carnaval began to parade toward the center of the field, with a unique greeting from their majesties. Among them were Karen Cabrales (Carnaval 2013), Sofía Briseño (Floral Games 2018), Rosy Beltrán (Floral Games 2004), Karla Rivas (Carnaval 2019), Ivanna Matamoros (Floral Games 2022), Víctor Quiroz (King of Joy 2023), Héctor Limón (King of Joy 2024), Paco Vázquez (King of Joy 2020) and Karen Tirado (Floral Games 2010).

Paco Vázquez said that they felt happy and excited about the invitation they were offered, since they know that the Mazatlán Carnaval is definitely the town’s fiesta. “The important thing is to do things well and with all the protocols to continue experiencing the fiesta and sharing with the family,” he said.

Ivanna Matamoros said that Mazatlán Carnaval is unique because of its past and its history in general, which makes it very special.

“It was great to bring them together year after year in different events with different generations, which makes them a united and living family so that the Carnaval is always present in their hearts,” she added.

At the end of the show, the fans of Mazatlán FC of the First Division of Mexico said goodbye with applause and smiles on their faces to the sovereigns of the Mazatlán International Carnaval.
