The Municipal Center for the Arts (CMA) hosted a morning filled with stage talent during auditions for the technical program in Theater Arts
CMA classrooms provided the ideal setting for the auditions, which were led by instructor Alejandra Quintanilla and Manolo Díaz—coordinator of the Theater School and head of both the theater workshop and the technical program.
According to the instructors, it was a productive morning that showcased the acting talent of those aspiring to join the Theater Arts technical program.
“It is interesting to encounter surprises; during the interviews, you find people who emerge as group leaders—those who like to take the lead or show initiative. Fortunately, there are profiles that generate excitement about working with them, hoping they stay in the program and that the school continues to grow in terms of student body and professional opportunities upon graduation,” noted Manolo Díaz.
During the audition, applicants performed physical and scripted acting exercises, as well as improvisation, and took part in a final interview where they shared their personal reasons for pursuing acting studies.
Those who have been accepted must now proceed with the administrative requirements and prepare for classes to begin on August 31.
A final audition will be held in the coming days; interested candidates should begin the registration process at https://culturacma.servoescolar.mx/admisiones.aspx.
