Artist Yaz González will open the exhibition “Cosmogonías: tradición, historia y conspiración” (Cosmogonies: Tradition, History, and Conspiracy) on September 4 at 7:00 PM at the Rubio Gallery. There, the public can immerse themselves in an artistic vision that weaves together myths, symbols, and diverse perspectives on the origins of humanity.

The exhibition stems from a desire to explore the stories that have accompanied humankind since ancient times, prompting reflection on a fundamental question: Where do we come from?

Through various artistic disciplines, Yaz González establishes a dialogue between Mesopotamian and Mesoamerican worldviews—specifically those involving figures such as Enki and Quetzalcóatl, as well as creation myths linked to maize, fertility, knowledge, and divine intervention.

The project seeks to identify symbolic resonances, recurring patterns, and parallels within these foundational narratives. Here, the concept of “conspiracy” serves as an invitation to question singular historical accounts and to explore the multiple interpretations that emerge when myth, tradition, and knowledge intertwine.

The aim of “Cosmogonías: tradición, historia y conspiración” is to create space for contemplation, questioning, and wonder, inviting viewers to forge their own connections between the stories of the past and the enduring questions facing humanity. Admission is free. The exhibition will remain open to the public until October 2.
