As part of the “Culture in Your Community” program, the Government of Mazatlán and the Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism, and Art invite the public to enjoy an extraordinary musical evening on September 28 at 6:00 PM at the Señor de la Misericordia Church, located at the intersection of Avenida La Marina and Avenida Del Delfín. Admission is free.

The concert will feature star performances by the Camerata Mazatlán, under the direction of Maestro Sergio Freeman, and the Municipal Center for the Arts (CMA) Vocal Ensemble, directed by Maestro Juan Pablo García. The evening will be further graced by the voices of distinguished guest soloists: soprano Rebeca de Rueda and tenors Alejandro Yépez and Eduardo Tapia. The repertoire spans sacred and classical music, Neapolitan songs, and great hits from the popular songbook.

The program will offer a highly varied musical journey, beginning with classical pieces such as Johann Pachelbel’s iconic Canon in D Major and Wolfgang A. Mozart’s *Missa brevis* in G Major (“Pastoral”), K. 140.

Subsequently, the audience will enjoy renowned Italian arias and lyrical songs such as “O sole mio,” “Torna a Surriento,” and “Funiculì, funiculà,” as well as the moving aria “O mio babbino caro” from Giacomo Puccini’s opera *Gianni Schicchi*.

To conclude the event on a high note, the performers will pay tribute to Mexican popular and traditional music with iconic songs such as “Por una cabeza,” “Te quiero dijiste,” “Granada,” and “Amor eterno,” along with a festive medley of “México lindo” and “Viva México.” Through these initiatives, the Mazatlán Institute of Culture reaffirms its commitment to decentralizing artistic programming and bringing events of high technical and artistic quality directly to Mazatlán’s community spaces.

Admission is free to the public.
