An evening filled with classical music and dance took place last Saturday at Casa Haas with the presentation of the show “From Classical to Neoclassical,” bringing together the talents of the Adagio Trio and the Classical Ballet Company of the Municipal Center for the Arts.
The musical program was performed by Juan Pablo García (piano), Citlali Cisneros (cello), and Víctor Osuna (violin), who delighted the audience with their renditions of renowned pieces from the classical repertoire.
The dance component featured twelve members of the Classical Ballet Company of the Municipal Center for the Arts, who accompanied the music with refined choreography, creating an evening where both disciplines merged in perfect harmony.
Throughout the performance, the audience enjoyed iconic pieces such as “Méditation” from *Thaïs*, “The Dying Swan,” Sviridov’s “Romance,” the *Schindler’s List* theme, the *Coppélia* pas de deux, “Habanera” from *Carmen*, and *Las estaciones porteñas* (The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires), a work inspired by the famous Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla.
The dance performances were led by twelve members of the Classical Ballet Company of the Municipal Center for the Arts, who accompanied the melodies with elegant choreography, creating an artistic experience that fused music and dance.
Due to the enthusiastic audience response, “From Classical to Neoclassical” will be presented again next Friday, September 11, at 7:00 PM at Casa Haas, offering another chance to enjoy this production that unites the beauty of music and dance. Tickets are sold out.
