In an evening defined by creative diversity, the Ángela Peralta Gallery hosted the opening of “Eclecticismo” (Eclecticism), a group exhibition presented by Grupo Andart that brings together the artistic visions of 22 local creators.
The exhibition comprises 38 works spanning disciplines such as oil, acrylic, ink, watercolor, pastel, colored pencil, and sculpture. Through this array of techniques, the show offers a visual journey featuring portraits, landscapes, and emotional explorations.
The opening ceremony began with welcoming remarks from Mónica Rice, Visual Arts Coordinator at the Municipal Center for the Arts. Afterward, Alberto Ramírez, representing the collective, expressed gratitude for the support given to the project and highlighted the group’s commitment to independent creation:
“Each piece reflects the concerns, emotions, and inspirations of its creator; it is a showcase of each artist’s creative expression.”
The event also featured the participation of Mazatlán-based writer Juan José Rodríguez, who invited attendees to engage in a dialogue with the artworks and appreciate the convergence of styles within the gallery.
Following the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees toured the Ángela Peralta Gallery and conversed with the exhibiting artists.
Among the featured works is a contribution by artist Ramón McFly, who included two contemporary art pieces inspired by the figure of Batman in the exhibition.
