This Tuesday afternoon, the Ing. Manuel J. Clouthier Library, located in the Francisco Villa neighborhood, hosted the “Cineratura” program—an initiative that combines the art of cinema with literature.
For this session, participants watched a portion of the *One Hundred Years of Solitude* series and compared the screening with the original book by Gabriel García Márquez.
The activity was led by Pedro Aguiar and Irma Osuna. After showing part of the visual adaptation, they read the book’s opening chapter to identify and discuss the differences between the two versions, thereby fostering an interest in reading.
The program is open to the general public and will continue over the coming weeks on Tuesdays at 4:00 PM. Admission is free.
