Due to high interest and unprecedented participation from both local and visiting groups, September 9 marks the official close of registration for the Mazatlán International Carnival 2027 *Comparsa* Contest: “We Love Our Traditions.”
Oscar García Osuna, General Director of the Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism, and Art, highlighted that the response has exceeded expectations and reached beyond local borders. In the exhibition category alone, the participation of approximately 230 visiting performers has been confirmed; they will join the contingents that will fill the port’s grandest celebration—scheduled for Sunday, February 7, and Tuesday, February 9, 2027—with joy, color, and energy.
The registration deadline for exhibition *comparsas* is September 22.
