The extraordinary voices of Vanessa Gama and Rosa Ferreiro will light up the stage alongside the Camerata Mazatlán, under the direction of Enrique Patrón De Rueda.
– A concert to celebrate the grandeur of the operatic art form and pay an emotional tribute to the noble work of the *Damas de Pro-México* (Ladies of Pro-Mexico) association.
An evening where art will be heard and the soul stirred awaits on September 25 at 7:00 PM, when the majestic Ángela Peralta Theater opens its doors for the “We Love Opera” (*Amamos la ópera*) concert, part of the Mazatlán Cultural Festival 2026.
This unforgettable gala will demonstrate that art knows no borders by bringing together the Camerata Mazatlán—under the masterful baton of Maestro Enrique Patrón De Rueda—to provide musical accompaniment for two gems of the Municipal Center for the Arts (CMA): soloists Vanessa Gama and Rosa Ferreiro. They will perform a selection of the most iconic and moving arias from the universal repertoire. The evening will also serve as the perfect occasion to honor the *Damas de Pro-México* association for their admirable dedication and commitment to our community.
Voices that conquer the world
Behind every great voice lies a story of dedication, discipline, and unwavering passion. This concert celebrates the extraordinary journey of two young artists who are currently elevating Mexico’s profile on the global stage:
Vanessa Gama (Soprano): With a meteoric career filled with triumphs, this graduate of the CMA’s Vocal Performance program—and student of the Mazatlán Institute of Culture’s Opera Workshop led by Maestro Enrique Patrón De Rueda—has proven that dreams are achieved through perseverance. After making her debut as Adela in *Die Fledermaus*, sharing the stage with renowned tenor Javier Camarena and virtuoso German trumpeter Otto Sauter, and receiving the Mozart Prize at the Palace of Fine Arts (Bellas Artes), Vanessa is preparing for a new and historic challenge: in October 2026, she will represent Mexico in the finals of the prestigious *Neue Stimmen* competition in Germany—a milestone that will propel her magnificent voice onto the international stage.
Rosa Ferreiro (Mezzo-soprano): With a solid international background honed in Italy, Ireland, and Peru, and under the expert guidance of Maestro Enrique Patrón De Rueda, Rosa Ferreiro—a graduate of the CMA’s Vocal Performance program—exemplifies vocal maturity and dramatic emotional depth. Winner of Third Place (Female Category) and the *Escenia Ensamble* Prize at the 10th Linus Lerner International Vocal Competition, she has proven herself ready to conquer any stage in the world through the power and elegance of her performances.
