The Mazatlán Camerata, conducted by Maestro Enrique Patrón De Rueda, will accompany soloists Vanessa Gama and Rosa Ferreiro for a magnificent musical evening.

Harnessing the power of music and the talent of renowned artists, the Mazatlán Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism, and Art will launch the 2026 Mazatlán Cultural Festival with the concert “We Love Opera: On the Road to Great Stages” (*Amamos la Ópera, rumbo a los grandes escenarios*). The event takes place on Friday, September 25, at 7:00 PM at the Ángela Peralta Theater.

Under the baton of the esteemed Maestro Enrique Patrón De Rueda, the evening will bring together the Mazatlán Camerata and soloists Vanessa Gama and Rosa Ferreiro—promising young talents of the national opera scene. They are set to dazzle the audience with their vocal agility and technical prowess as they evoke the deepest human passions found in lyric theater.

The repertoire will span the fluidity of Italian *bel canto* by Gioachino Rossini and Vincenzo Bellini, the elegance and passion of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and the lyrical drama of Ambroise Thomas and Camille Saint-Saëns, among other great composers.

Through this vocal journey, the audience will embark on an exciting, whirlwind experience, sharing moments filled with nostalgia, sensuality, and dramatic tension.

“We Love Opera” will serve as the starting point for the new edition of the Mazatlán Cultural Festival, an event organized by the Municipal Institute of Culture to celebrate the emotions that unite audiences through diverse artistic expressions.

This performance kicks off a season designed to bring great artistic experiences to the community and reaffirm Mazatlán’s status as a city that fosters artistic training, creation, and the showcasing of talent.

Tickets: $400.00, $350.00, $300.00, and $250.00. Tickets are available at the Ángela Peralta Theater box office, open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Mazatlán Cultural Festival 2026 is supported by the Government of Mexico’s Secretariat of Culture—through the National Circuit of Festivals for Peace—and by the Mazatlán Municipal Government, through the Mazatlán Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism, and Art.

This project is supported by the PROFEST Call for Proposals for Cultural and Artistic Festivals. This is a public program, independent of any political party; its use for purposes other than those established is prohibited.
