This Thursday, June 8, treat yourself to the opportunity to enjoy the music of the DBK Youth Band “Professor Genaro A. González” along the sea, made up of young people who traveled from Caborca, Sonora to provide moments of healthy recreation to Mazatlecans, foreign residents and tourists.

Directed by maestro Jorge Morales, the marching band-type musical organization is made up of 66 musicians between the ages of 11 and 18, students from the Don Bosco High School and the Kino High School, originally from Caborca, Sonora.

On this occasion they are in Mazatlán with a double purpose: to celebrate the 13th anniversary of the Band and to travel on a rest plan as a reward and encouragement to the discipline and commitment to music by its members.

During its 13 years of existence, the DBK Music Band has performed in cities such as Hermosillo, Sonora; Ensenada, Baja California, among others, and this Thursday will offer a memorable concert on the esplanade of the Monument to the Family, on Av. del Mar almost on the corner with Av. Rafael Buelna.

Professor Jorge Morales Ramírez, musical director of the school band, pointed out that both he, his partner Daniel Mojica and the boys in the band are very enthusiastic about the trip and he is sure that they will leave a good impression among the spectators.

The 66 musicians of the DBK Band are distributed in instruments such as flute, clarinets, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, marching baritone and tuba, while in percussion there are marching drums, snares, bass drum and cymbal.

For this special presentation, the artists have a varied repertoire that ranges from classic songs from the marching band such as “The hey song”, Lucky shops – “Coco”, cumbias and they will close with a tribute to Sinaloan music with the classic “El niño perdido”.

The invitation is open to those who would like to appreciate this musical show in along the seashore.
