Boys and girls who are learning to play instruments and techniques to sing regardless of the language and musical genre in the classrooms of the Municipal Center for the Arts, shared a bit of their learning during an effusive and festive presentation on the porch of the Ángela Peralta Theater.

More than 40 minors whose ages range from 6 to 16 years old gave a pleasant surprise to their family, friends and people who passed through Plazuela Machado.

The little artists played and sang a bit of everything, while the spectators applauded, cheered effusively, took photos and recorded videos with cell phones.

The first to appear before the public were the members of the Children’s Orchestra under the direction of maestro Martín Quintero.

With instrumental mastery they performed ‘Pomp and circumstance’ Op. 39, No. 1 by Edward Elgar; ‘The Pink Panther’ by Henri Mancini; ‘Symphony’ by Georg Philipp Telemann and ‘Litle Baroque Suite’ Rondo – Sarabande.

The ovation was not long in coming for the emotional interpreters who, before saying goodbye, made visible their gratitude to the public for such a good reception on that humid afternoon.

Immediately afterwards, more than 40 children and adolescents appeared, all dressed in black. In front of them, the director of the Children’s Choir, Mariela Angulo, who in a flash distributed her disciples throughout the length and breadth of the portico and just like that, the choir of voices went into action.

The Children’s Choir began with ‘Cielito lindo’; the smaller children in front, the taller ones in the back, sang freely as they rocked their bodies from side to side.

Then came ‘La merienda’, a children’s classic by Francisco Gabilondo Soler performed with the accompaniment of maestro Raziel Pineda on piano.

This fun song that tells the story of a crying child captivated the public who, at the end, released the first Bravos! pm

Claps and more claps from singers and spectators and the melodious notes of the piano accompanied the brilliant interpretation of ‘The cowboy mouse’ to conclude the repertoire of children’s music in a fun way.

The little students of the CMA Children’s Choir transitioned from Spanish to British English by delighting the audience with ‘Let It Be’ and ‘All you need is love’, two immortal classics by The Beatles with the surprising intervention of young Alfredo Castrejón in the trumpet, pieces with which the public was thrown into the bag.

At the end, maestro Victor Osuna congratulated the little musicians and asked the parents not to stop supporting and taking their children to their music and singing classes in the classrooms of the Municipal Arts Center.

Maestra Mariela Angulo was excited and satisfied by the artistic performance of her students.
