Humberto Zurita, one of the most beloved actors by the Mexican public, returns to Mazatlán with the successful comedy “Papito Querido” [dear daddy], a staging by playwright Rodolfo Rodríguez in which he shares the stage with actress Stephanie Salas.

The couple who experience a beautiful romance is accompanied by actors Rodrigo Vidal, Víctor González, Luis Gatica and Ivonne Zurita, together they will give life to this funny story on Wednesday, September 27th at the Ángela Peralta Theater in two performances at 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

“Papito Querido” is a sitcom in which a divorced father (Humberto Zurita) decides to dress as a woman to meet the conservative parents of his daughter’s boyfriend, who would in no way accept that their daughter-in-law was the daughter of divorced parents.

The original concept, direction and adaptation are by Humberto Zurita; the production and set design by Gabriel Varela; choreography by Edgar Ali; sound by José Luis Lazajaru; image design by Javier de la Rosa; makeup Concepción Rodríguez and the associated production of Miguel Ángel González.

Humberto Zurita has said about this entertaining staging: “When I got together with Gabriel we decided to look for something that would really amuse people, that would amuse us and that would invite them to come to the theater without fear, but not only that, but to return to a joyful, optimistic reality. It is a work that has its reflection, it talks about the hypocrisy of society, but basically it is a hilarious comedy, it is written wonderfully well and allows you to have fun”.
