On September th17, he will offer the concert ¡Así suena el mariachi!

Because the public requested it, the Mazatlecan Tenor Carlos Osuna returns to the Ángela Peralta Theater to offer his show “Así suena el mariachi”, a musical journey through famous songs in the voice of prominent exponents of bolero ranchero and vernacular music.

A member of the Soloist Ensemble of the Vienna State Opera, Carlos Osuna will perform on Sunday, September 17th at 7:00 p.m. at the city’s highest cultural venue, as part of the program to celebrate the National Holidays.

On July 20th, the artist managed to get around 700 souls to sing, applaud and throw bravos at him! during his expected performance in the port. Given the full house, many people could not enjoy the concert.

For this reason, the outstanding tenor, with the support of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, announced a new function that will go through the original program with variations in the final part.

During the concert he will be accompanied by mariachi music by the Traditional Mexican Ensemble, directed by Samuel Murillo; male voices from the Ángela Peralta Choir, directed by Mary Murillo; the humorous dance of the Ballet Folklorico of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán under the guidance of Javier Arcadia and the prodigious voice of the Mazatlan mezzo-soprano Sarah Holcombe.

¡Así suena el mariachi! [this is how the mariachi sounds!] will travel through various eras to pay tribute to figures of Mexican music such as Pedro Infante, Javier Solís, José Alfredo Jiménez, Vicente, Alejandro Fernández and remember great composers such as Rubén Fuentes, Agustín Lara, Armando Manzanero and Martín Urieta, among others.

“Así suena el mariachi” was born from Carlos Osuna’s desire to sing Mexican music after 13 years of living in Europe and devoting his life to lyrical singing, a genre that opened the door for him on the international stage and keeps him active as a member. of the Soloist Ensemble of the Vienna State Opera.

Carlos Osuna began singing at the age of 12, later he entered the Ángela Peralta Choir, went to study in Mexico City at the International Society of Mexican Art Values, returned to Sinaloa to train at the Culiacán Opera Workshop He left for Cardiff in the United Kingdom, spent a year and a half, auditioned for the Basel Opera and after half a year he arrived in Vienna, where he has lived and developed his artistic career for 13 years.
