Tártaro, Requiem de cuerpo present por el niño que aprendió a matar, a monologue by Sergio López Vigueras starring actor Bernardo Gamboa, will be presented by the company Teatro sin Paredes under the direction of David Psalmón, on Saturday, September 30th at 8:00 p.m. at the Ángela Peralta Theater.
Escena Mazatlán 2023 produced by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte, presents the most awarded Mexican play of 2022 that tells the story of the son of a nation in ruins born in the midst of poverty, violence and lack of opportunities.
Distinguished as the Best Monologue and Best Mexican Drama 2022, Tártaro tells the story of a young man who grew up in a land occupied by luxury vans, who saw his mother being exploited by the system and his sister being raised up, never to return. Almost playing, he became a hawk, then an escort for a plaza boss. He gained power, sowed violence and death. He became a hitman. And, from there, he descended into tártaro.
Tártaro presented by the Colectivo Teatro Sin Paredes, is a play that goes beyond human psychology, the dramaturgy by Sergio López Vigueras makes a very universal approach to see this problem through the prism of mythology and at the same time very local and that touches a deeply Mexican reality.
The group of Theater Critics and Journalists, ACPT, has awarded it the prizes for Best Monologue 2022, Best Leading Actor, Best Sound Design, Best Lighting Design and Best Mexican Playwriting.
Classification: For people over 15 years of age.
