In the Machado square, hundreds of people had the opportunity to appreciate the exhibition “Master art, retirees in action.”

More than 30 retired people, most of whom dedicated themselves to teaching, and served institutions such as the IMSS, ISSSTE, among others, are the creators of 35 paintings that were mounted around the ‘la Machado’ kiosk.

With the support and support of the Municipal Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art of Mazatlán, teacher tutor Gloria Chin Ley and teacher Tere Millán, joined forces to carry out this work, which is a great stimulus for each of the participants, who prepare in “The Retiree’s House.”

For retired teacher Luz del Carmen Herrera Ruiz, exhibiting her oil paintings is very satisfying, rewarding and motivates her to continue in this art that she has been perfecting for a year.

“This graffiti thing was an invitation that was made to me and I joined the group, it is a group of retired teachers and the teacher has guided us with techniques, step by step, it is a process, we start with simple things. It is relaxing, satisfying, “It’s my first exhibition and if something nice is going to come out, it feels important, and it’s good that they’re doing this, it’s culture, life, and very motivating,” she responded excitedly.

The exhibition “Master art, retirees in action” remained on public view from November 10 to 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and managed to capture the attention of people of all ages, including tourists, locals and foreigners. , who appreciated the works in detail.
