Today is the grand final in Lima, Peru of the XI Latin American Lyric Singing Competition organized by Radio Filarmonía, and Mazatlán will be proudly represented by the mezzo-soprano Rosa Ferreiro, a student of the Opera Workshop of the Higher School of Music and Singing of the Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán.

 

By sharing her emotions, the artist originally from Tijuana, B.C. But she, based in Mazatlán, expressed:

 

“I am very excited to advance to the final of this great competition, the level of the semifinal has been very high, which makes me feel very honored and grateful for the opportunity to be one of the 11 singers who are going to perform further. In the end, what gives me pleasure is to say that I can stay on stage one more day.”

 

After her return from Spain this year, where she perfected her Rossinian repertoire, and her successful participation in the “Carlo Morelli” National Singing Competition – she managed to reach the semi-final stage -, mezzo-soprano Rosa Ferreiro continues with the firm intention of consolidating her career in the world of opera.

 

In the CMA classrooms, the talented artist has created a special bond with her teachers Juan Pablo García, Martha Félix, José Miguel Valenzuela and with Maestro Enrique Patrón de Rueda, in whom she fully trusts to excel in the world of opera and therefore who feels great admiration.

 

Radio Filarmonía will broadcast the Grand Final of the XI Latin American Lyric Singing Contest starting at 4:00 pm Pacific time on the Facebook page, Filarmonía 102.7 FM.
