The Cinema of the Municipal Arts Center presents this Saturday, July 1st, at 6 pm, the film “Exit Through the Gift Shop” (2010), in which credit is given as director to the notorious graffiti artist with a worldwide reputation: Banksy. It was even nominated for Best Documentary at the 2011 Oscars.
“Exit Through the Gift Shop” tells the incredible story of how an eccentric French clothing salesman, Theirry Guetta, decided to follow his cousin, nicknamed ‘Space Invader’, who showed him how he placed his stencil art around the city, Thierry fell in love with this exciting and clandestine art form, so he decides to become a documentary filmmaker to follow anyone who was filmed doing their jobs.

The film is projected in its original English language with Spanish subtitles. The Cultura Cinema is located on Carnaval street on Plazuela Machado, the doors open at 5:40 pm.
