This will be the 18th. edition of Artwalk, the Camino del Arte 2023-24, that will take place from November 2023 to April 2024. The call was launched by the organizing committee chaired by Marysol Galván Pelayo.
The fine artist invites all national or foreign creatives that generate painting, sculpture, photography, engraving, jewelry, drawing, mixed media, object art, ceramics, among other graphic representation techniques, to join this project to participate, it has a tradition in the streets of Centro Historico of Mazatlán.
In the last edition, 30 artists of different nationalities participated, and this year, with the novelties that it will have, the number is expected to grow considerably.
Galván Pelayo announced that the Artwalk, the Camino del Arte 2023-24, will take place on Friday, November 3, December 1, January 5, February 2, March 1 and April 5.
Among the novelties offered by the 18th edition, there will be an extension of hours of one more hour, with the participating galleries remaining open from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in addition to the creation of the so-called “Special Fridays” or “Viernes especiales”, on Friday November 17th, December 15th, January 19th and February 16th.
The inscriptions have a cost of 300 pesos per artist, an amount that entitles them to receive the emblem of the establishments, it will be the same logo of the movement with a color code that will distinguish the type of establishment and that will coincide with the more than eight thousand maps that are distributed in various places in the port.
Artwalk in Mazatlán began with the initiative of the artist Glen Rogers, and was held throughout the season in order to publicize the studios and workshops of local artists to promote visual arts in the port.
