Giving the linguistic, pedagogical knowledge that allows the Mazatlan public library staff to face the challenges with children and youth responsibly, is part of the public policies that the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte implements through constant training.
Thanks to the creative letter workshop “Labrapalabra”, by instructor René Arellano Camacho, 14 library workers and a librarian from the municipality obtained enough preparation to allow them to elaborate poems thus promoting the habit of reading.
José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, Office Manager of the Municipal Instituto of Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan, congratulated those who were part of the workshop, and said that these types of meetings will be more constant, the closest one being related to storytelling, raising the quality for the job to be performed.
Arellano Camacho said he was satisfied with the work done since the group of students in his charge always showed interest in learning and it was reflected in the final works they showed.
Juan Manuel Flores Vázquez, director of the Municipal Center of the Arts and René Arellano, led the delivery of certificates to those who participated in the workshop at the facilities of the Ingeniero Manuel Bonilla library, better known as Los Leones.
