The Great Events of the Mazatlan Cultural Festival 2019 of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan continued this Saturday at the Angela Peralta Theater with the show “Al Son del Mariachi”.
Starring the dancers of the Folkloric Ballet of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan (directed by maestro Javier Arcadia) and by the musicians of the Mariachi Continental of Mazatlan, this event painted a portrait of Mexicality through one of its greatest cultural expressions: the Mariachi.
Violins, trumpets, guitarron, vihuela and voice, sang authentic songs of the national being: “Cielito bonito”, “El Son de la negra”, “Ay Jalisco”, and “El jarabe tapatío”; songs that speak of passion, bravery, nostalgia, mischief, sensuality and the romanticism of Mexico.
However, it was the heels, the twists and flowers, the multicolored dresses, the charro suits, the yells, whistles and the beauty of the dancers and dancers that made the audience (mostly made up of foreigners) to experience this great enthustic event that painted this Saturday night green, white and red.
