This Saturday the sparkling and fun music of the zarzuela with the performance of the Ángela Peralta Choir

Supporting citizen cultural initiatives with human capital such as the Barrio Corazón Program, is part of the commitment that the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán has with society and in this context this Saturday, May 20th, the Angela Choir presents the sparkling and fun music of the Spanish zarzuela in Plazuela Zaragoza.

At a press conference called by members of Barrio Corazón, maestro Enrique Vega, planning director of the Instituto de Cultura, indicated that this Saturday at six in the afternoon, the paramunicipal will offer a fresh and fun concert with the best-known pieces of the zarzuela in the voices of the Ángela Peralta Choir, accompanied by maestro Sergio Castellanos on piano.

“We believe that Barrio Corazón is an important initiative that must be supported, like all initiatives that seek to recover the sense of community and that undoubtedly contributes to the spread of culture in all expressions,” acknowledged the municipal official.

He added that logistical support is also provided and other artists will participate in the future.

Barrio Corazón presents activities related to the visual arts, music, dance and literature and works based on four axes: workshops, artistic forums, exhibitions and promotion of reading.
