In order to know and recognize the members of the most important musical genre in the municipality, the Government of Mazatlán, led by the Mayor, Quimico Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, through the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte will initiate the program “Soy de la Banda”. José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, director of the Paramunicipal, invited all established Sinaloan bands to sign up for the registry.
Those interested have to call the offices of the Instituto de Cultura 669 982 4444 to schedule their appointment, once scheduled all members of the group will have to attend with their voter ID at the Institute’s offices.
This type of recognition is carried out with the aim of rescuing and promoting regional music from Sinaloa, mainly banda music.
The awards will be awarded within the framework of a great event related to Sinaloa music, which will take place in November in this Port.
