A special evening was held by students who completed their academic training at the Music Technician level. They closed their school cycle with a concert held at Casa Haas, in front of a full forum.
Jesús Martín García Lizárraga, Gael Cruz Ramírez, Leonardo Marcel Nieblas Rodríguez, Daniela Leyva López, José Emilio Espitia Angulo and Sebastián Cedillo Fernández, graduated from the Music School of the Municipal Arts Center and celebrated with a recital offered to family and friends who applauded them and recognized their artistic talent and achievements, having chosen the academic route to study classical music.
The graduates specialized in guitar, cello and trumpet, under the guidance of teachers Luis Ornelas, Jesús García, Citlali Cisneros, Jorge Mejía, Guadalupe Osuna Calleros and Juan Carlos Chavarría Reyes, -these last two, generation godparents-.
After the words of welcome by teacher Víctor Alonso Osuna, guitarist Jesús Martín García Lizárraga opened the concert by performing Choro 1 and Capricho árabe; The evening continued with guitarist Gael Cruz Ramírez who performed Sons de Carrilhoes and El Testament d’Amelia; each musician received standing ovations.
With his guitar Leonardo Marcel Nieblas interpreted Diferencia sobre guardarme las vacas by the composer Luis de Narváez. Immediately afterwards, cellist Daniela Leyva took the stage, performing with her mentor Citlali Cisneros, Concert Number 3 in C, by composer Carl Stamitz.
José Emilio Espitia Angulo, accompanied by his guitar, took the stage and delighted the audience with Estudio Número 5 by Fernando Sor, and Fantaise de Sylvius, the work of Leopold Weiss.
Trumpeter Sebastián Cedillo in the company of pianist Elías Esparza, showed his instrumental mastery and repertoire with Aprés un Rêve, which generated a loud ovation before giving up the stage to Leonardo Marcel and José Emilio who made a duet to play the piece Largo.
At the end of the concert, the Director of the CMA Liliana Aréchiga Pérez congratulated the graduates for having completed their studies and asked them to believe in the tools they carry and not stop their preparation to advance in the musical field.
The sponsors of the generation were the teachers Guadalupe Osuna Calleros, who taught the Research Seminar, and Juan Carlos Chavarría Reyes, who gave them solfeggio classes, and as an encouragement he gave them a book with solfeggio methods.
For trumpeter Sebastián Cedillo, tonight was special because his relatives were in the audience, a situation that filled him with joy and a different feeling as he remembered his grandparents, people whom he appreciated very much and unfortunately never saw him play the trumpet, a special reason to dedicate his performance to those who are with him present and in spirit.
