This Wednesday at Casa Haas the “BassTen” concert was held with the participation of Tenor Eduardo Tapia, Bass Baritone José Ivalcá and Juan Pablo García on the Piano.

“BassTen” is a word created by the protagonists of the concert, they are the English abbreviations of Bass (singer with the deepest male voice, with a very dark timbre) and Tenor (singer whose tessitura is located within the four basic voices, between the high one and the low one).

The delighted audience enjoyed a repertoire of 15 melodies performed with virtuosity and passion separated into blocks in three languages: German, French and Spanish.

The intention of “BassTen” is to show the versatility of the repertoire and the different ways of singing and approaching it through an enriched and very particular style.

Among the works performed that night were: Herbstlied de Felix B Mendelssohn; O isis und Osiris e Ich baue ganz auf deine Stärke de Wolfgang A Mozart; Quand la flamme de l´amour de George Bizet; Déjame Llorar de Alfonso E. Oteo; Rosa marchita de Tata Nacho and La negra noche de Emilio D. Uranga, among others.
