Moments of good humor, all with a Christmas atmosphere, were experienced on Wednesday night at Casa Haas, where students of different levels from the Theater School of the Municipal Arts Center gave life to a Hilarious “Mexican Pasturela”.

The staging had the artistic direction of the teachers Silvia Flores and Alejandra Quintanilla, who achieved a fun contemporary adaptation of the work of the teacher Sergio Esquivel.

On stage, the audience that filled Casa Haas enjoyed the histrionic talent of more than 20 students of the technical degree in Theater Art, who assumed the roles of devils, angels, shepherds and personified a living nativity scene to bring to current times and in a fun way the staging of the fight between good and evil around the birth of Jesus Christ.

For its part, the audience did not stop laughing during the enjoyable afternoon and in recognition and gratitude for the acting work of the young CMA students, gave them loud applause.

The Mexican Pastorela is carried out year after year, with the intention that the students of the Theater School of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán can collaborate, get to know each other and present their histrionic talent to the public.

Furthermore, the performance can become the opportunity for a theater company to emerge.

This event is part of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023 organized by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán.
