Currently, comics and manga are a part of the literature that impassions children, youth and adults. With the intention of training creators in Mazatlan, the Municipal Center for the Arts and the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte launched the Comics Workshop this Saturday.

A group of teenagers ventured into this journey of creativity and from their first class began to make their work that will be presented at the end of the course, after several days of putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the workshop.

Alonso Guerra, in charge of Literature at the CMA, pointed out that the intention of the Comics Workshop is to train creators of graphic stories. The aim is for students to develop a style of writing based on knowing the literary genres, as well as fostering in them the creative spirit and teaching drawing techniques.

The Comics Workshop will be held every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and young people aged 12 and over can register.

If you meet the requirements, and you intend to be part of the Comics Workshop, go to the CMA to request information, on Carnaval S/N street in the Centro neighborhood next to Plazuela Machado. Registration closes on Saturday, March 25th.
