The film “TÁR” (2022) inspired by the world of classical music, arrives this Saturday, March 11th, at the Cinematograph of the Municipal Center for the Arts.

In the feature film directed by Todd Field, the leading role of Cate Blanchett stands out, who offers one of the most complex performances of her career, and which has earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

For the delivery of the 2023 Oscar Awards, this film is nominated in the categories Best Film, Best Direction, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay, Best Photography and Best Editing, so attendees will see a film of international category.

The plot is based on the life of Lydia Tár, who has the world of classical music in her hands, is recognized and idolized, and is presented as a cold, calculating and control freak. But when she is about to conduct Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, her life changes after a former student who enrolled in her scholarship program accuses her of inappropriate behavior.

Added to this are other complaints that end up burying her brilliant career, as well as her personal life with her partner Sharon (Nina Hoss) and her adoptive daughter, Petra (Mila Bogojevic).

As on other occasions the doors of the CMA located on Carnaval S/N street open for the public at 5:40 p.m. and close at 6:00 p.m., the film is projected in its original language, English with Spanish subtitles. Free admission, without ticket.
