An afternoon of zarzuela with a repertoire that will go from the most elegant and stylized romances to the most folkloric rhythms of Spanish music will be offered by the Ángela Peralta Choir this Saturday, May 20th at 6:00 p.m. in Plazuela Zaragoza.
In a natural setting, the choral group of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán will offer the show “Ecos de España”, made up of choirs and zarzuela romances.
Special guests of the Barrio Corazón program, the voices of the choir will join the singing of the soloists: Baritone Juan Fernando Martínez, mezzo-soprano Ángela Rodríguez; tenor Alfredo Torres, accompanied by maestro Sergio Castellanos on piano.
Some pieces of the repertoire to interpret are: El pasacalle de Los Nardos, Pichi y Java de las viudas de Las Leandras; Las seguidillas de la Verbena de la Paloma; el preludio de El Barberillo de Lavapiés; La mazurca de las sombrillas and Los vareadores, songs by Luisa Fernanda, among others.
The Barrio Corazón program has among its objectives, to bring texts, readings aloud, poetry, board games, singing and dance to urban spaces in Mazatlán, it was born three years ago and is carried out on an itinerant basis.
