““Así suena el mariachi” will be a spectacular event, this is how Sarah Holcombe described the concert that she will star in with
Carlos Osuna this Thursday, July 20th at 8:00 p.m. at the Ángela Peralta Theater and to which she has been invited by her friend, the internationally renowned tenor.

Surprised, the mezzo-soprano thanks him for the invitation and expresses her enthusiasm for the opportunity to share the stage with tenor Carlos Osuna since they have been friends since childhood, they studied at the same school, the voice of both was discovered by maestra Cristina Ávila de Vadillo and they joined the Ángela Peralta Choir together.

“The invitation took me by surprise and of course I did not hesitate to accept, apart from the mariachi, it is very beautiful, exciting and very Mexican music, I am very happy to sing with mariachi.”

The Mazatlecan artists will perform a duet to interpret “Perdón”, a very popular song in the voice of Vicente and Alejandro Fernández.

“It’s a very nice duet, I’m going to accompany him in “Amorcito corazón” and in “El jinete”, which are very, very cool songs,” she said.

The last few months have been very productive for the Mazatlecan mezzo-soprano Sarah Holcombe. Just in November 2022, her life smiled at her when the Veracruz public surrendered to her during her performance at the Tlagná concert hall.

Directed by maestro Enrique Patrón de Rueda, the Mazatlecan interpreter took a very important leap in her professional career by having the privilege of singing with the musical accompaniment of the Xalapa Symphony, one of the most prestigious and oldest orchestras in Mexico.

Among her plans in the short and medium term, musical preparation stands out.

I want to continue preparing myself to do more things, here at the Ángela Peralta Theater I presented “Pagan Love” at the Evening of the Arts, I performed during Music Day, and now thanks to the invitation of Carlos Osuna I will close Spring Season 2023. I was also in “Historias de un grillo”, I loved it, it was a great challenge and I am happy to do it, she exclaimed.

Among Sarah Holcombe’s upcoming projects is to continue her operatic preparation, next year she will do “Rigoletto” she will debut in the role of ‘Magdalena’, and she is building a personal project, which she will soon make public and will give a lot to talk about. For now, she invites everyone to come to the concert “Así suena el mariachi”.
