With the screening of the film “Touch of Evil” (1958), a film by director Orson Wells, there will be a luxurious afternoon this Saturday, July th at 6:00 p.m., in the Cinema of the Municipal Center of the Arts.

The memory tape is considered by critics as the last jewel of the classic period of American black cinema, which captivates viewers from the first minute.

After crossing the border from Mexico into the United States of America, a bomb explodes in the car of businessman Rudy Linneker. In turn, Miguel Vargas (Charlton Heston) Mexican Narcotics chief is spending his honeymoon with his wife Susan Vargas (Janet Leigh) in the city, when they witness the explosion.

US Police Captain Hank Quinlan (Orson Welles) will take charge of the investigation, but the Mexican policeman will do it on his behalf.

“Touch of Evil” is a masterpiece of malevolence and the loss of humanity. A very important film for Orson Welles, since it meant his return to Hollywood as a director after ten years.

The film is projected in its original English language, with Spanish subtitles, the doors open 20 minutes before the start of the projection, the public entering for free through the door located on Carnaval street on Plazuela Machado.
