Alfredo Vergara, actor and theater director, stars in “Entre pavos y guajolotes” a tragicomedy that returns to the stage at Casa Haas at the request of the public, on September 6th at 7:00 p.m.

The work is a tragicomedy that ironically poses the precariousness, humiliation and racism that the central character experiences on a shrimp boat during the fishing season.

Felicitos Cocinas Pavón (name of the ship’s gopher in this story) is dedicated to giving keynote lectures and in them he recounts everything he experienced during his work at sea.

As the minutes go by, Felícitos narrates how he started fishing, how he witnessed a double murder on his first trip, and there in the middle of the sea how he suffered it as the lowest ranking member of the crew, receiving humiliation, harassment sexual abuse and mistreatment, all amidst jokes, occurrences and anguish.

“Entre Pavos y Guajolotes” will be presented at Casa Haas on Wednesday, September 6th at 7:00 p.m., tickets for $150 pesos available starting this Thursday, August 17th at the Ángela Peralta Theater box office. Tel. 669 982 44 46 ext. 103.
