The Playwright, theater director, producer and cultural promoter from Monterrey, Hernán Galindo, with 43 years of experience in the performing arts, will give a conference on theatrical art on September 30th at 5:00 p.m. hours at Casa Haas. Admission is free with tickets available at the Angela Peralta Theater box office.

Galindo is one of the guest speakers at the Escena Mazatlán 2023 Theater Festival, organized by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte. He has directed more than a hundred productions of universal authors, operas, musicals and multidisciplinary shows. He has more than a hundred plays written between short theater and large format work. His work has been performed in various parts of the country, as well as in New York, San Diego, Miami, Argentina and Rome.

His work has been published in Ediciones El Milagro, Alfaguara, Editorial Castillo, La Tinta en el Espejo, Ediciones CONARTE and Ediciones Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.

Hernán Galindo’s conference is part of the Escena Mazatlán programming in which companies and actors from Mexico will participate, from Monday, September 25 to Sunday, October 1.
Hernán Galindo’s participation will be an opportunity to meet and reflect, to interact and exchange stage experiences that will enrich the public and the actors.
Galindo has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Regiomontana; Degree in Dramatic Art UANL. He has studies in English and theater at UCLA (Los Angeles, California). The current head of Performing Arts at the University of Monterrey; Member of the National System of Artistic Creators of CONACULTA 2009/12. Director of Casa Musa AC.
Civic Merit Medal / UANL Award for the Arts 2017. He has won the UANL National Dramaturgy Award three times. (Craving for Peaches 1989, The Hidden Beasts 1990, The People of the Rain 2004). Among his most recognized titles: Marble in the sky, The Children of Salt, Circles in the garden, Dolls of Arcadia, The People of the rain, Genesio from comic to saint, The hidden Beasts; His work on a Mayan legend Palenque Rojo has already completed its thousand performances in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas. The musical Children of salt inspired by Los Niños de salt has been presented at the New York Musical Festival 2016.
