From Monday, September 18th to 24th. Artists from Colombia, Spain and the United Kingdom participate

From Monday, September 18th to Sunday, September 24th, the 3rd Mazatlan Dance Meeting will take place to celebrate the 25 years of the Mazatlán Professional Dance School. The excellent programming includes the participation of more than 40 artists from Mexico, Colombia, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The program includes 7 free performances at the Ángela Peralta Theater for all audiences with the presentation of the work of graduated creators from Colombia, Spain, England, Quintana Roo, Guanajuato, Sinaloa, Aguascalientes, Morelos, Jalisco, Baja California Norte, Puebla, Durango, and CDMX, as well as 40 master classes, 7 discussion tables and 7 talks.

This Meeting will be attended by critics and researchers Patricia Cardona and Rosario Manzanos, and teacher Ofelia Chávez, director of the “José Limón” Dance Research Center (CENIDID).

Two important books will also be presented: “Danza y Poética” – the Mazatlán Professional Dance School – written by maestra Patricia Cardona and “Vida al Aire” by critic Rosario Manzanos, edited by Fonca, Proceso Magazine, Tinta Azul S.A and Morfina Ediciones in 2018.

This 3rd Encuentro de Danza de Mazatán is possible thanks to the support of the Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán and the PROFEST program of the Ministry of Culture.

The performances will be free to the public but with control tickets available at the TAP box office.
