Two Mexican musicians of international stature will be the protagonists of the Piano & Double Bass Recital, this Saturday, October 28th at 7:00 p.m. at Casa Haas.
Soloists José Miguel Rivera, on piano, and Damien Miguel Gómez, on double bass, will provide an intimate concert to attendees where they will perform beautiful melodies by sme of the greatest composers of all time.
The musical evening will include in the program the Sonata for Double Bass and Piano in D, T36 by Johann Mathias Sperger, the Nocturne in B Op. 62, no. 1 by F. Chopin, Oberman Valley by F. Liszt, Prelude in C#m Op. 3, no. 2 by S. Rachmaninoff and A Carmen Fantasy by Frank Pronto.
“We are happy that there is a good response from the public, you can’t miss it, it is an attractive program that has virtuosity, we will play jazz, well-known pieces, it is an accessible program to expand the variety of tastes,” said maestro José Miguel Rivera .
Miguel Rivera is a pianist with an outstanding career; He has given concerts in Mexico City, at the ‘John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’, in Washington D.C., in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela accompanied by the Anzóategui Metropolitan Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as in theaters in Austria, and the United Kingdom, among others.
Damien Miguel Gómez is a musician who has just graduated from the School of Music at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus, and is pursuing a residency in this city.
The Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023 hosts this recital and the proceeds from tickets will benefit the musicians who will continue their studies by completing different postgraduate degrees in prestigious schools in the United States and England.
