This Friday, November 24th and Saturday, November 25th at eight pm, the Ángela Peralta Theater will host MozArt, a fresh, agile and fun stage production in which music, singing, dance, and acting come together and a little juggling to narrate with action and good humor the life and work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to enter the world of opera.

singer José Miguel Lora Briseño, a native of Nayarit, highlights the value of the multidisciplinary show that agilely tells the life of the Salzburg genius based on four of his greatest operas: The Marriage of Figaro, Cosi fan tutte, Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute.

The bass-baritone who has perfected his repertoire and vocal technique at the CULTURA School of Music and Singing, participates in this fun cabaret opera directed on stage by maestro Ragnar Conde.

Lora will play around seven different roles in this proposal that playfully attempts to establish a more intimate connection with the audience to bring them closer to the life of Mozart and the world of opera.

“With MozArt we are trying to bring this mix of performances together with music, it is not just an opera, it is not just a story, we are trying to interact with the audience, you talk about yourself to the audience, you break that wall (between the artist and the viewer)”, he states.

“In Mazatlán there is a lot of opera, concerts, galas, but this type of intimacy and this way of presenting the show feels fresh, experiencing it as an audience can be a door to enter the world of opera,” highlights the Nayarit singer.

In MozART the aim is to explain in a quick, diluted and fun way what is happening and why, all the time the viewer has something to see because something is happening on stage.

It is a show for the general public, it is a very fun show, very playful, similar to a caricature, very circus-like, the aim is for the public to always be attentive, says José Miguel Lora.

MozArt opera-cabaret, produced by Escenia Ensamble under the direction of Ragnar Conde, is included in the programming of the major events of the Cultural Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023 and will be presented at eight o’clock at night on November 24th and 25th at the Ángela Peralta Theater. Ticket prices range between $250 and $400 pesos and are now on sale at the theater box office, or at the digital box office at WhatsApp 669 120 0020.
