Artists from the Mecca of Musical Theater participate


This Friday, December 8th and Saturday, December 9th, the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023 presents ”Bewitching Broadway”, a successful show inspired by the highest-grossing musicals in history with some of the most talented voices, bright lights of the Big Apple.


Jessica Hendy, Alex Getlin, Scott Coulter, Campbell Walker (vocalists) and John Boswell (pianist), stars of the Mecca of Musical Theater will give the audience unforgettable moments by performing the most significant songs of this artistic genre.


The musical evening promises to enchant the audience with the best of Wicked, a fascinating story that will take the audience to the Land of the Wizard of Oz; The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, and The Little Mermaid, among others.


The cast is widely recognized, in the case of Jessica Hendy, she is one of the best actresses on Broadway, she played the role of Grizabella in CATS.


Alex Gletin is a New York-based singer and actress whose voice can “melt stone,” she has spent the last year performing in tribute concerts to Leonard Bernstein, Jerome Robbins, Elton John, Paul McCartney and Andrew Lloyd Webber. She recently debuted at Carnegie Hall with Michael Feinstein in “Hooray for Hollywood,” as part of his Standard Time series.


Scott Coulter is one of New York’s most honored vocalists and has received five MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) Awards, five Bistro Awards, and two Nightlife Awards for Featured Vocalist. He has performed in most of the best venues in New York


Emmy nominated for his performance in American Song at NJPAC. Scott performs as a soloist and with legendary artists, including Academy Award winner Stephen Schwartz, Tony winner Ben Vereen and Grammy winner Sheena Easton, and has performed with symphony orchestras around the world, including San Francisco, Baltimore, Seattle, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Phoenix, Detroit, Winnipeg, St. Louis and Calgary.


Blaine Krauss is a vocalist and has traveled the world playing Simba in the “Lion King” and starred in Radio City Summer Spectacular. Blaine performs regularly with symphony orchestras from different countries.


He traveled the world as ‘Simba’ in “The Lion King” and starred in Radio City Summer Spectacular. His talent led him in 2011 to be a featured performer for the largest 9/11 commemoration outside the US at the Trocadero in Paris, France. In 2010, the White House and the Presidential Commission on Scholars selected him to be one of 20 Presidential Scholars in the Arts.


John Boswell, pianist, has served as musical director for Judy Collins, Andy Williams, Bob Newhart, Scott Coulter, Maude Maggart, Faith Prince, Carmen Cusack, Babbie Green, Jason Graae, and many more talents. He has appeared on The Tonight Show, Today Show, and CBS This Morning. John Boswell has 9 albums recorded and currently has 2,646 listeners on Spotify.
