The music from some of the highest grossing films of recent times aroused various emotions in the public and passers-by who were surprised to hear the performances of the Youth Orchestra of the Municipal Center of Arts of the nstituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán.

The music of The Simpsons (Intro), Aladdin (Friend like me), Gladiator, Toy Story (You’ve got a friend in me), Mission: Impossible Theme, Pirates of the Caribbean and a spectacular start with “2001 Space Odyssey” were part of the repertoire performed by the CMA Youth Orchestra, under the baton of maestro Juan Carlos Chavarría Reyes.

The stage was the portico of the Ángela Peralta Theater where, last Monday afternoon, chairs were placed for the public, which began to integrate when they heard the sound of the Orchestra.

Girls and boys accompanied by their families and adults who were walking on the square would stop when they heard the music and, surprised, they would remain in expectation waiting for the next performance.

Maestro Juan Carlos Chavarría Reyes commented that for this concert he had the idea of having it outdoors so that the people who are walking around feel a little more attracted.

The intention of playing themes from movies is also that the boys and girls can be present and that if they hear a piece they feel happy to be at the concert, the idea is that the general public knows, enjoys and is aware of the Orchestra Juvenile, he said.

Chavarría Reyes thanked all for the support of the Educational Director of the CMA, Liliana Aréchiga and the school coordinator, maestro Víctor Osuna, and especially the teachers who supported and joined the Youth Orchestra to be part of the concert.

Undoubtedly a concert and an exercise in active observation that yielded an optimal result, among other things, to stimulate the public and promote their approach to music.
