Folkloric music and dance will take the Cultura en tu Comunidad program this Saturday, October 14th to Isla de la Piedra, where starting at 6:00 p.m. it will begin on the community field this popular festival that comes thanks to the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023.

For this occasion, the Folkloric Ballet of the Instituto de Cultura, directed by Maestro Javier Arcadia, and the Youth Folkloric Ballet of the CMA, directed by Maestro Erick Carrillo, are part of the cast to perform the most representative images of the states of Jalisco and Sinaloa.

More than 30 artists in action will take the stage in their debut on Stone Island and will provide moments of joy and healthy recreation, indicated choreographer Javier Arcadia.

“We are going to present a repertoire that we already have, it is Jalisco Ranchero, Jalisco de Gala, and Estampas de Sinaloa, with contemporary, indigenous and coastal pieces. It is a show that we have presented in other places, and on Stone Island it is our first occasion and we are going to bring a little joy to the inhabitants of Stone Island,” he stated.

Among the repertoire that some songs from Jalisco will carry are “La Madrugada”, “El Zihuateco”, “El Toro Viejo”, “El cartero”, “El son de la negra”, while from Sinaloa there will be Pascolas dances, the dance of the Venado, an ensemble of El Venado, from Sinaloa and Sonora, so you can see the difference.

Some classic and beautiful songs will sound like “El Toro Viejo”, “El Sauce y la Palma”, “El Costeño”, “La Cuichi”, “Aires de Sinaloa”, “El Sinaloense”, are some of the pieces that will be presented.

The maestro added that in the artistic afternoon they will use colorful costumes just as they dressed in Jalisco, the ranchero with cheerful, flowered outfits, and the luxury one with his charro suit, gala suits, colored ribbons, the same in Sinaloa, Depending on the region to represent, the clothing to be used will be.
