Folk dance is a window that allows us to peer into the traditions, beliefs and customs of the inhabitants of different regions of the world and maestro Eric Carrillo Salas will speak on this deep-rooted expression of Mexican culture, during “Dialogues of our history”.

The appointment to attend this event organized by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán is this Wednesday, November 29th at 5:00 p.m. in the Carnaval corridor next to the portico of the Ángela Peralta Theater

The dancer, choreographer, teacher who directs the Youth Folkloric Ballet of the Municipal Arts Center, will speak about his emergence into the world of folklore dance and his passion for dance that has led him to stand out on various stages in Mexico and Europe.

In this meeting the artist will talk about his life in dance, his beginnings, the current situation, his projects, his work in the Youth Ballet, and he will share his future plans before dozens of attendees who will gather at the cultural corridor.

Alonso Guerra, coordinator of “Dialogues of our History”, highlighted the importance of giving the opportunity to new generations of artists to express their motivations and achievements in artistic activity.

“Dialogues of our Hstory” is a free program that belongs to the extensive lineup of activities of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023, an event that has brought together hundreds of attendees in events of literature, fine arts, contemporary dance, classical ballet, singing, theater, folk music and ballet.
