The public will be able to enjoy the most excellent music of Beethoven and Weber this Sunday, January 14th, at Casa Haas at two shows, 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm, during the second great concert of the Gordon Campbell Season with a performance by the chamber group Ars Sonui.

The group from Aguascalientes returns to Mazatlán to perform music by the great German composer Ludwig van Beethoven and Weber, one of the precursors of German romantic opera.

Ars Sonui during 2023 had a concert tour through different venues in the country and in each presentation it offered a very varied repertoire.

In this concert, maestro Gordon Campbell returns to his roots and will participate as cornist in that ensemble.

They will perform Beethoven’s Sextet and Joseph Miroslav Weber’s Septet. For Brahms, this work was the most impressive in the 19th century repertoire.

Ars Sonui
The Ars Sonui ensemble is the only group in Mexico to address chamber music written for a diversity of ensembles combining string instruments, woodwinds, brass winds and piano, forming from duos to octets or nonets and covering styles and genres from baroque to contemporary music.

Since its founding, the Ars Sonui Ensemble has premiered more than 15 works that, despite having been written hundreds of years ago, had not been performed in our country.

Tickets at the Ángela Peralta Theater box office, Tel. 669 982 44 46 ext. 103, $350.00 pesos general.
