In recent years the Opera Workshop offered by the Municipal Arts Center of Mazatlan, has become a hotbed of voices that shine in national and international events, where the training and development of students is the most important for each of the teachers.
Originally from Zapopan, Jalisco, Maria de Jesus Herrada Lopez indicated that she decided to settle in the port for the academic preparation given to the students, also for the projection in the constant productions that the Municipal Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan, a plus that not any city in Mexico and America offers to opera singers.
“The truth is that I do not have doubts, or excuses, especially for Maestro Enrique (Patrón de Rueda), he is a great teacher, a great director, he is a teacher who always seeks to enhance the musical and professional training of singers in Mexico , and the truth that he is quite interested in our training up to the smallest detail to continue in this race,” he added.

Recently, Herrada López represented Mazatlán in the 2019 Sinaloa International Singing Competition, a prestigious competition in Mexico, where she achieved second place in her category, also obtaining an enormous lesson as a student and artist, which serves as a motivation to continue making an effort in what she loves most.
