After five successful days, the Mazatlan Book Festival 2020, closed monumentally, with the great concert of Tania Libertad. Energetic, solemn, smiling and with an exceptional voice, the Peruvian international singer, Mexican nationalized, captivated thousands of attendees who witnessed the magnificent closure. More than eight thousand people, among locals and tourists, chanted pieces such as, “Echalme a mi la culpa”, “Procuro olvidarte”, “Nube Viajera”and “Ojala”, among others, which, in the voice of Tania Libertad, echoed in Paseo Olas Altas before an immense sea of people. Mazatlan and his people were amazed by the great talent and personality of Tania Libertad who offered one of her best nights on stage. Previously, Quimico Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, Mayor of Mazatlan; Gabriela Peña Chico, President of the Municipal DIF System; and José Ángel Tostado, Head of the Office of the Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte, among the activities of FELIM 2020, led the literary tour, in which hundreds of people visited a part of Centro Historico of Mazatlan to hear poetry by Amado Nervo and the drama of Óscar Liera through dance, music, song and theater, accompanied by spectacular “Calaveras Catrinas”, graffiti and other artistic elements. The joyful procession led to Olas Altas, in a great evening that ended the first Book Festival in the year and that with the effort of the Municipal Government, the Instituto de Cultura and the Brigade to Read in Freedom, was a success.
