The Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán in coordination with Michael Dergar and fine artist Dory Perdomo through the Uniting Borders Movement, invite you to support a dinner in favor of the purchase of the elevator of the Ángela Peralta Theater to facilitate the mobility of people with different abilities.
Within the framework of the Festival Cultural Mazatlán 2023, it is expected to reach the goal to buy the elevator that will facilitate mobility to the upper areas for people with special abilities inside the TAP [the Angela Peralta Theater]
Activities in favor of inclusion include “A qué huele el Arte de María”, an exhibition for blind young people to be held as part of the FCM program, on Thursday, November 23rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Ángela Peralta Gallery.
In addition, a benefit dinner is contemplated where there will be an auction in favor of the elevator and support will be given to artists with special abilities, among other actions.
Raúl Rico González, General Director of Cultura Mazatlán, indicated that approximately 400 thousand pesos are needed to gather the total amount for the purchase and installation of the same, which will not affect the structure of the building that is more than 100 years old.
“First we have to gather the necessary resources, a little less than 400,000 pesos, several events have already been held, the money is in a special account, and if we now reach our goal with dinner, I think so, I would immediately ask for the elevator and in two or three months it would be installed”, declared the manager.
The functionality of the elevator will allow dozens of people to enter the Ángela Peralta Gallery or the second and third balcony of the TAP.
Rico González stated that the dinner will be held at the Casa Haas facilities on November 23, it is a benefit activity, the ticket costs a thousand pesos and the preparation of the dishes will be in charge of Chef Gilberto del Toro.
