Quartet Nuevo de Mazatlán, a chamber music ensemble that achieves a special sound, is the new project of the Ukrainian violinist Nina Farvashchuk and will be presented this Friday, October 27th at 7:00 p.m. at Casa Haas.
Virtuoso maestros and outstanding students of the Music School of the Municipal Center for the Arts, make up the nascent group that was born with the aim of conquering the hearts of the public and being able to participate in festivals and chamber group competitions.
Quartet Nuevo Mazatlán is made up of maestra Nina Farvashchuk, first violin; Emily Robles Espinoza, second violin and outstanding student of the CMA music workshop; maestro Víctor Alonso Lizárraga, on the viola and Gabriel Kobylyansky Farvarshchuk on the cello.
This new concert project seeks to stimulate the learning and musical growth of all its members, since playing in a quartet is not an easy task because the four voices must have perfect tuning.
During their presentation at Casa Haas this Friday they will offer a repertoire divided into periods.
They will perform ancient arias by Ottorino Respighi, then they will address baroque music through the Concerto in D in string quartet by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The program will continue with Nocturno by composer Alexandr Borodín; Melody by the Ukrainian composer Miroslav Skorik and Tango by the Argentine bandoneonist and composer Astor Piazzola, among other surprises.
