“Our participation will be dedicated to three characters who had relevance – in the artistic and cultural field, such as: Engineer Ricardo Urquijo, – who was Director of Cultural Diffusion -; Jorque Gorostiza, – actor, teacher and Theater Director- and Andrés Tirado, a student at the Theater school who was beginning his career in Mexico City, we are going to dedicate it to them,” said Gómez Polo.
The coordinator of the CMA Theater school announced that they will use fragments of shows staged by the three honorees, there will be some pieces by Óscar Liera where Andrés Tirado acted, other productions directed by Jorge Gorostiza and a zarzuela, a musical genre that Ricardo Urquijo liked, and that he sang at the Ángela Peralta Theater.
“We are representing things that they did on stage and now we are going to act for them because according to tradition, on the Day of the Dead, they come to visit us on this earthly plane, so we are going to invite them to sit among the audience and we are going to act his favorite parts,” concluded Ramón Gómez Polo.
